when it comes to being a man of many talents, there are few to equal richard norris. dj, producer, musician, a&r man, author and journalist... his is a career of many twists and turns which have always seen him at the forefront of pushing new ideas forward and championing diversity and innovation, be it alongside erol alkan as part of the wizards sleeve, or gone solo as the acclaimed time and space machine.
tirk releases richards debut as the time and space machine in 2010. with the long awaited album imminent, we have decided to do a special single release of one of our favs to preceed, alongside a brace of tasty remixes. >pill party in india< is rich with the energetic twang of exotica carried down a highway of fast-paced bongos and live drums with interludes of blips, wiggles and ghostly soundtrails. absolutely stunning.

the band like to compare themselves to caribou, orbital, hot chip, fourtet, and pet shop boys, all pretty good touchstones in our eyes, however it was the sheer gloriousness of their music that had us hooked.
their debut ep features the uplifting and euphoric >ranting and raving< and the 9 minute sound-movie >lemon<. remixes come from richard norris and his time and space machine project (we are going to have to put this guy on the payroll soon) and russian ice cool customer sportloto. free school also appear live (in sheep masks no less) so watch out for them at a venue near you. their debut album is in the pipeline and already sounding good.

after the brilliant work with tigerlily on the digitaline track >say so<, gregorythme teamed up again with the lovely singer and created another epic masterpiece. >no time no space< has the potencial to become one of this years big anthems, with tigerlilys great voice, the catchy melody and the unbelievable synthline staying in your head for a long time! kalabrese and lee jones both kept the epic feeling of the original. kalabrese added his unique funk and kind of a caribic touch to it. imagine a lonely beach with nothing else to do as watching the stars out there. lee reworked tigerlilys voice, combined it with a massive bass and takes it a step darker into the night, made for dancefloors and big soundsystems!

surprising release by gerd on the basement series with an old classic themed techno track he found on a dusty dat tape while archiving some old recordings. somehow a traditional techno track with metalic basslines, stellar string sounds and retro futuristic vocals with a classic theme... time & space. the original slower paced version did get an reshape/makeover that gives it a 2011 update that will be a standard record in the box for many! remixers on duty are rotterdams duplex duo who are back in business and deliver two remixes. timeless tracks that will stand out between all dj tools!

the time and space machine return with the third in their series of highly acclaimed, mind bending psychedelic edits. freakbeat anthems meet hypnotic ragas and swirling phazers, while cosmic cowboys ride off into a day glo sunset. vinyl only, strictly limited as ever, housed in a beautiful luke insect sleeve. the >time and space machine volume three< is a psych lovers technicolour dreamcoat.

the recent time and space machine album released on tirk caused quite a stir. received by fans, press and pundits with a bright glowing prodigiousness, we just had to have one final foray into the 12 inch single department. the albums title track set >phazer to stun< was always a favourite with pulsating krautrock influences, nicely melded with some dirt cheap farfisa organ, freakbeat drumming and (of course) plenty of phazer.
